
EUROPE WIN THE MOSCONI CUP
EUROPE have won the 2007 PartyPoker.net Mosconi Cup with an 11-8 triumph over America.
Ralf Souquet, the most experienced player in the European team, clinched the victory with a 6-4 success over Rodney Morris.
The visitors had only won the cup twice in the previous 13 years and had to fight back from a 4-1 deficit on the opening day, but managed to do so in style by winning ten of the next 14 matches.
There were incredible scenes in Studio B of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas as Ralf Souquet sunk the final 9-ball. Immediately, the rest of the European team rushed on to the stage to celebrate.
